2. Why is your license fee cheaper than other reading franchises?
Our marketing research shows that most educational programs and franchises are geared towards the upper middle class and the elite or high income families.
No excellent enrichment program caters to the middle class and below. So sad.
I went to public schools for my basic education. My son himself struggled as a reader. As my way of sharing and giving back, I want every Filipino to have an access of excellent programs like Alterra Play-to-Read in 30 Days.
The only way to do that is to make our price point reasonable for most preschools.
How do we make it reasonable?
We adjusted our business configuration by keeping our business leaner. Our online training allows us to spend less on overhead and logistics. We pass on the savings to you. That’s value innovation for you!
This way, we help the students who really need the program while making preschool owners and heart-centered individuals double or triple their income.
Isn’t that awesome?
3.There are many online resources in teaching reading. Why do I have to take your program and get the license?
Yes, there is a lot out there but there is none that does it the way Alterra does. Of course, you can sense my bias.
But you can always do research and come up with your own, but one of the downsides of researching on your own is information overload.
What I am giving you is a proven system, a product of research. The system cuts short your preparation time.
I share my wealth of experience in this training, plus my best tips and tricks that work.
You can’t find these anywhere else in one setting.
4. Can the program be used for special education students?
Yes, definitely! In fact, the subjects of the Ateneo research were considered as “at-risk” readers. Also, Alterra exists today because of my son who struggled to read and was diagnosed with ASD.
We will give you tips on how to handle them. However, it would be best for you to have a special education background to be able to implement the program well for extreme cases of special education.
5. How do you provide support?
During the training, enrolees are required to submit demo for critiquing. This means. to maintain the quality of the Alterra program, we do not allow you to start offering it unless we are sure that you can already do all the techniques and strategies well on your own.
In case of an immediate need to confer with us, support is given through a private Facebook group as well as email support.
4. How is Alterra Play-to-Read in 30 Days different from tutoring?
Tutoring focuses on helping a child on his respective lessons taught by a child's school. The Alterra Play-to-Read in 30 Days program is an independent program that allows a child to read in 30 days or less depending on assessment result.
5. When can I have the training?
The training is done per batch. The specific dates are indicated in the sign up sheet or in the webinar information sheet.
6. Is the online training enough to help us implement the program on our own?
Yes, it is enough. As mentioned above, you are only allowed to offer the program once you or your teachers are ready based on their training evaluation.
7. How many of my teachers can access the training?
This depends on the license you are getting. Please see the License Options for more detailed information.
8. Can I change the prescribed student fees?
The prescribed fee includes a certain range and you should charge within the amount given. The range provides enough wiggle room for you to earn substantial income. Due to inflation, annual review of the fees is necessary and we will notify you of changes.
The PRO licensees have the freedom to raise the fees higher than the range given.
9. Why am I asked to "teach 1 student for free for every 10 enrolees" as royalty? Can I just pay the royalty fee? (Note: Royalty fee and system, waived during the pandemic)
You have to. It is a part of the license provisions. Instead of giving RedAlterra Reading Development Center, our registered and legitimate business entity, a royalty fee, you teach a student for free. Teaching one student for free is your “royalty payment”.
I and my son, who is now 17 years old, would like to bless others with what our Lord God has blessed us with. We want to create a ripple of change, no matter how small it may seem. This is only possible through changemakers like you. Besides, life is not all about money, is it not?
10. What is the expected return on investment (ROI)? Is there a guarantee I will earn?
The ROI depends on you. Also, we do NOT and will NOT guarantee your earnings. All results are based on your own effort and actions. This is a business that requires some work to get started.
Based on our experience, parents are attracted to the preschool that offers it. Even with that, I want to emphasize that this is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. I have been in the educational industry for so long to say that passion and hard work are needed for any teaching endeavor to succeed.
11. Is sharing of materials with other teachers allowed?
No, this is not allowed. It is only acceptable among teachers who are registered to use the license.
12.How will I know if my area or locality already has an existing licensee?
As indicated in this page, this is our initial online run. Our next runs will have a screening of prospective licensees so the geographical exclusivity of licensees is maintained.
There will be no duplication of licensees in an area or barangay within at least 5km-radius so the preschool can maintain its strong differentiator and visible expert status.
In the future, a database of licensees and their respective locations will be made so preschool owners can check before they enroll in the program.
13. How will you know if I am following the provisions of the license or not?
You will be required to submit an online monthly report on the number of your enrollees to RedAlterra Reading Development Center. Non-submission in a month will result to an offense. Three consecutive offenses will result to your suspension on the use of the Alterra license.
14. Can I open multiple centers using one license?
Each license is for one (1) location only. You would have to pay for another license if you want to open another center in another location.
Sharing with and / or selling the license to another person or business entity results to termination of license and prosecution in accordance with the law.
15. Can my license be revoked?
Yes, if you do not follow the terms stipulated in the license.
16. Other than the program and license, is there anything else I will spend on?
Yes, there are a couple of things you still need to spend on.
First, you still need to spend on toys. You can improvise though or look for what you already have in your preschool or at home.
Second, you need to spend for your Facebook marketing. We will teach you so you do not have to spend much. Moreover, we have free and ready templates for your tarpaulin signage so people can readily recognize what you offer.
